The Librarian's Role in Academic Integrity
What can a librarian/ media specialist do to support academic integrity in your building or school district? After assessing the need based on student and faculty surveys, librarians can instruct about measures to avoid plagiarism (including helping teachers make " plagiarism proof" assignments), learn ways to develop consensus among teachers, instruct parents and finally, develop a school wide academic integrity policy.
